Fixed-Ruggedized Launch Cable
The Enginuity Fiber Launch Cable, ELC-series, is designed to be used by service technicians during their service activation and troubleshooting procedures. The launch cable is used in conjunction with the technician’s optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) to helps reduce the effects of the OTDR’s launch pulse on the fiber under test.

- Robust, micro-armored pigtails – improves resistance to damage
- Shuttered device-under-test (DUT) connector – protects connector ferrule during handling
- Compact housing – fits easily in most OTDR pouches
- Dust shield – Cover to prevent dust from gathering inside OTDR’s bulkhead port
- Connector saver – 0dB attenuator used on DUT pigtail protects launch cable connector from damage due to normal testing. Saver is easily replaced when end face becomes damaged during testing operations.
